DIAMOND CUT ALLOY WHEELS

Refresh and RevitaliSe Your DIAMOND CUT ALLOYS

Diamond cut alloy wheels are a popular choice for vehicle aesthetics. However, they require specialised care and attention to maintain their exquisite finish. We focus on restoring and preserving the beauty of your diamond cut alloys, ensuring they remain in pristine condition.

Trust us to care for your diamond cut alloy wheels. With our expertise and commitment to quality, you can enjoy the beauty of your wheels for years to come.

The two-tone effect achieved through diamond cutting adds a sophisticated touch. The contrasting matt, gloss and polished finishes create depth and character, giving your wheels a luxurious appearance that improves the overall look of the vehicle.

Diamond-cut alloy wheel services offer a finish that significantly enhances your wheels, by utilising advanced CNC technology, The lathe machine precisely shaves off a thin layer of metal from the wheel’s face, revealing the shiny, reflective alloy underneath.

Process

The diamond cut process is a technique used to achieve a highly polished and visually striking finish on alloy wheels. It involves several steps that create a unique, reflective surface that showcases the wheel’s design. Here’s an overview of the diamond cut process:

Stripping, Sanding and Repairing

Hot acid bath treatment to strip all existing paint and lacquer, Media blasting to remove contaminants, rust, stubborn paint, and other surface imperfections. Finally, filler for deeper damage, if necessary, all to give the perfect surface to start the restoration paint process.

Painting

Water based paints are used to apply your preferred colour to the spokes of the alloy wheel, giving a unique accent.

CNC Machining

The key feature of the diamond cut process is the use of a CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine. This machine precisely cuts the surface of the wheel, creating a shiny, diamond-like finish.

Powder Coating

Lacquer powder is applied using an electrostatic spray gun, which charges the powder particles. This charge causes the particles to adhere to the grounded surface. The wheel is then placed in an oven where the heat causes the powder to melt and chemically bond to the surface, creating a tough, uniform finish.

WORK PROCESS

AssesSment

After removing the tyre our technician will assess the damage to the alloy and also check for any buckles and cracks.

preparation

Each alloy is dipped in our hot acid tanks and stripped back to bare metal. Any major rim damage is hand repaired, each alloy then undergoes media blasting ensuring we have the perfect surface to apply the powder coat primer.

paint and powder

Powder coat primer is applied followed by the paint colour of your choosing, a clear powder lacquer is then applied and oven cured to give a durably high shine or matt finish.

CNC Lathe

The CNC lathe scans each wheel to map out the surface before using millimetre precise programming to diamond cut the surface of the wheel.

final checks

All alloys are quality checked and once passed will be refitted to your vehicle.
